Sciatica Treatment in Barrie
Relief for pain that runs from your back down your leg
Sciatica-type pain can shoot from your low back or buttock down your leg, sometimes with numbness, tingling or weakness. Our chiropractors assess where it’s coming from and treat the cause, not just the symptoms.
How we can help
Finding what’s irritating the nerve
Your first visit includes a full assessment of your low back, pelvis, hips and nerves, so we understand what’s irritating the sciatic nerve.
Treatment may include chiropractic adjustments, soft tissue work, stretches and exercises you can do at home, with your plan adjusted as you improve. Care is available with Dr. Meghan, Dr. Chuck and Dr. Nicholas, and no referral is needed.
Chiropractic care may help if you have
- Pain down the back of the leg
- Low back or buttock pain that radiates

FAQ
Sciatica care questions
Do I need a referral to see a chiropractor for sciatica?
No. You can book directly with Dr. Meghan, Dr. Chuck or Dr. Nicholas. No referral is needed.
What happens at my first visit?
Your 60-minute new patient visit includes a detailed history and an assessment of your low back, pelvis, hips and nerves, so we can understand what is irritating the sciatic nerve and talk through a plan with you. A new patient visit is $120.
How many visits will I need?
It depends on what is causing your pain, how long you have had it and how you respond to care. Your chiropractor will talk through a plan with you after your assessment and adjust it as you improve.
Is chiropractic care covered by insurance?
Chiropractic care is not covered by OHIP, but many extended health plans include chiropractic coverage. We offer direct billing, so check your plan for your coverage.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Comfortable clothing you can move in, like athletic wear, makes it easier to assess your back, hips and legs.
